NAHB Legislative Conference

On Tuesday, June 5th,eighteen members of the Nebraska State Home Builders Association flew in to Washington, D. C. to attend the National Association of Home Builders Legislative Conference on Capitol Hill. More than 700 home builders visited Capitol Hill and called on Congress to make housing and homeownership a national priority and to take concrete steps to get housing back on track in order to create jobs and keep the economy moving forward.
This grassroots effort on behalf of the housing industry allows our members to meet directly with our congressional representatives and to educate them on the importance that housing plays in the overall recovery of our economy.
Members from Kearney in attendance were NSHBA Treasurer, Stan Poff of Kearney Concrete, President of theWest Central Nebraska Home Builders Association,  Gene Knaggs of Knaggs Construction and President-Elect of the West Central Nebraska Home Builders Association, Andy Spracklen of Spracklen/Russell Construction.
